The artist, Angela Willis, was born and raised in Houston, Texas, creates work that merges drawing with three-dimensional materials to evoke a tactile exploration of emotion. Her art reflects the complexities of the female experience, blending vulnerability, strength, and transformation.
Growing up, art became her voice for emotions words couldn’t express. Starting with drawing, she expands into sculpture using textiles, wood, and found objects, giving form to intangible feelings. Her layered, tactile pieces embody the belief that emotions are multi-dimensional and should be felt, not just seen.
Passionate about transforming raw materials, she constantly experiments to unite drawing and sculpture, illuminating the rich emotional landscapes women navigate daily.
